Charles N. Headrick, MD
For over 30 years, board-certified colorectal surgeon Dr. Headrick has treated patients in the San Fernando Valley, including Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Calabasas, Agoura Hills, West Hills, Woodland Hills, Encino and Tarzana. He is currently the chief of surgery at Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana Hospital and holds admitting privileges at several other hospitals, including Valley Presbyterian Hospital and Providence St. Joseph's Hospital.
Dr. Headrick is a native of Texas, where he graduated from Rice University and obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He furthered his training by completing his general surgery residency and fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Since moving to California to establish his practice in colorectal surgery, Dr. Headrick has received many honors, including serving as the president of the Southern California Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery and as the chief of surgery at Valley Presbyterian Hospital and Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana. Dr. Headrick's work has been published in surgery textbooks as well as in peer-reviewed journals including the prestigious Diseases of the Colon & Rectum.
Jeffrey P. Lake, MD
Dr. Lake is a dual board-certified colorectal surgeon, providing patients with comprehensive diagnostic and surgical care in Encino, CA. Highly skilled and respected in his field, Dr. Lake holds privileges at several local hospitals, including Providence Tarzana Medical Center and Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Lake graduated with high distinction from the University of California at Berkeley, before receiving his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He then completed internship and residency training in general surgery at the University of Southern California, serving as chief resident and receiving the honor of Resident Teacher of the Year.
To further his knowledge and training, Dr. Lake also completed a master's degree in clinical and biomedical investigations, as well as a fellowship in colorectal surgery, at the University of Southern California. Daniel S. Gingold, MD
A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Gingold completed his colorectal fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after finishing a rigorous five-year general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. He earned his MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY, after receiving his degree in premedical studies at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
Dr. Gingold completed his undergraduate studies cum laude at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. He is well versed in current proctologic and colorectal therapies and the author of several articles in peer-reviewed journals. He most recently wrote the chapter on colon and rectal surgery for a respected board review book and his work on inflammatory bowel disease was rewarded with distinction at the annual meeting of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
He has privileges at Providence Cedars Sinai Tarzana Medical Center and Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Sunil Reddy, MD
With over eight years of experience in colon and rectal surgery, Dr Reddy is a board-certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon with special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. Dr Reddy completed General Surgery residency at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He then obtained board certification in General Surgery following training at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine- Bronx Lebanon Hospital, New York. Dr Reddy did fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia and went on to be part of a busy Colorectal practice in Indiana before joining Valley Colorectal Surgeons.
Dr Reddy is passionate about Natural Orifice Trans luminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) and routinely performs Natural orifice Intra Corporeal Anastomosis and Extraction (NICE technique) to minimize pain and scarring from colorectal surgery, utilizing the latest robotic and laparoscopic surgical techniques. In addition, Dr Reddy is well adept in treating colon and rectal cancers, inflammatory bowel diseases and a wide range of anorectal conditions.
Dr Reddy is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and is a member of the Southern California Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr Reddy has given multiple presentations on TV and authored articles in various peer reviewed journals.
