Dr. Headrick is wonderful. He always takes his time explaining everything and answers all my questions. He is very caring and has great bedside manners. He is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned. I know i am in the best hands. His colleagues Dr. Lake and Dr. Gingold are also very caring and courteous. Even though I'm not his patient, when Dr. Headrick is not available Dr. Lake knows about my case and is very helpful. He and Dr. Gingold always ask how I'm doing when we cross paths which is nice to know that Dr Headrick's colleagues care too. His staff is always nice and courteous. He is just an overall nice guy. He takes personal interest in you so you don’t feel like just another patient.
Dr. Lake is a compassionate, kind and caring physician with a great sense of humor which makes the patients feel at ease. He takes his time to thoroughly explain the treatment approach as well as allowing you to express your concerns and ask all your questions. His staff and office managers are also very professional and welcoming. My experience with Dr. Lake and his staff was very positive and I highly recommend him to anyone with colorectal issues. You will feel much better after seeing Dr. Lake!
So far so good and I have a good surgeon for the "just in case" scenario. The above was written in mid July, 2022 . Well I must admit this time the shit really did hit the fan. My surgery is planned for mid January and I am very confident in my Surgical team at Valley Colorectal. No worries I even get to sleep through it. Update: 2/8/2023... with my surgery date locked in on the 7th of March I can only sit and wait for that day. Just taking it easy and following the guidelines of my surgeon, Dr. Gingold, I'm very certain that the only person who could mess this up would be me. That's the level of confidence I have in Valley Colorectal, Dr Gingold and his staff. Will post more soon... Update April 15th 2023. Well my surgery was on the 31st of March after another postponement from the 7th. Needed everything to be right I guess and everything went as good as it could. At a little after 2 weeks I'm having a difficult time adjusting to this new lifestyle. But alive was the lifestyle I was accustomed to. I still have a long way to go so this chapter and review will continue to be ongoing... UPDATE OCTOBER 2ND 2024: On the eve of my reattachment procedure I am... It's kind of hard to explain how I feel it's like waiting for my parents to wake up so that we can unwrap the presents on Christmas morning.... that kind of excitement. ...more soon

Not willing to share details beyond the fact that Dr. Lake is bright and cheerful and highly professional and makes an unpleasant procedure much more bearable. Staff is friendly and upbeat.
Dr. Lake made the experience setting up the appointment and the procedure as pleasant as can be expected. Everyone at VCS was courteous, professional and helpful
